Come to BFT for a pleasurable shopping experience. We want you to trust the quality of our sellers and in their products. Wander in, browse around, discover new products while stocking up on your faves.
Think of your time here as a leisurely stroll through your local, coffee in hand while you treat yourself to the best Tassie has to offer.
We care about our own
This is not a financially driven enterprise. We are not here to profit from sellers but to nurture a homegrown, talented and passionate community. We want to share the riches of our home state with one another and the rest of the world.
From the floor up, everything about Buy From Tasmania is homemade. Our growers, vendors, sellers, products and services, even this website, lovingly designed and coded by Hobart based company, A Lined Design.
we made lemonade
Born out of the COVID-19 crisis, the Buy From Tasmania virtual market is not only a way for vendors to continue selling in a time of social distancing, but we see Buy from Tasmania growing into its own community hub for buyers and sellers alike.
I’m Janelle, and I helped grow the Facebook Group’ Plug a Business Tasmania’ and created Buy From Tasmania out of my community love and desire to support small, family-owned businesses in Tassie. I want to see us survive and thrive during pandemic-induced restrictions. As a born-and-bred Tasmanian with a local family business myself, I wanted to find a way to give back to my village, to see it thrive and remain sustainable for future generations.
Show your hood some love.
